Language Workshop
This week we continued our author study of Eric Carle. We read the story Pancakes! Pancakes! Ask your child what all Jack had to do just to get a pancake for breakfast! We also learned that the setting of the story is where the story takes place. We are still working on capitalization and punctuation.
|
Math Workshop
We continued our study of Topic 2, “Understanding Subtraction.” We learned about subtracting to compare numbers and we solved many different subtraction story problems. Hopefully by now your child can correctly complete a number model and they know that when you write a subtraction sentence the WHOLE comes first! Whole-part=part
