Language Workshop We made a list of things we already know about weather. Then we read Freddy the Frogcaster to learn more. We discussed weather clues and how they help us predict the weather. We learned about meteorologists and different weather tools, like a thermometer, barometer, and weather vane.	Math Workshop This week we started Module 5: Identifying, Composing, and Partitioning Shapes. We have learned about corners and sides. We have also learned the names of shapes and their characteristics. The shapes we have focused on are circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, trapezoids, rhombuses, and hexagons.
Writing Workshop We finished up our informative writing pieces. Students researched American Symbols and then used the writing process to publish their pieces. Some students finished and moved on to researching other topics of their choice.	Next Week Next week we will continue learning about weather. We will also learn about commas in a series. In math, we will continue learning about shapes. In writing, we will start learning about poetry.
